Designed to support geologic carbon storage (GCS) site selection, permitting, and other key stakeholders' needs, the Wellbore Exploration and Location Logistic System (WELLS; formerly CO2-Locate) Database is the nation\u2019s first-ever living, integrated, standardized, and publicly available wellbore dataset representing open-source wellbore data from state, tribal, and federal entities. This feature layer is a highlight of the WELLS Database (DOI: 10.18141/1964068), where each record represents a unique wellbore and includes all public records with known surface hole locations. In addition, this feature layer has been enriched to also include attributes (e.g., True Vertical Depth Range, Spud Year Range) to support enhanced filtering functionality within the WELLS Interactive Application (DOI: 10.18141/2432460).
