This initial release is an early version and is subject to change, we implore users to provide feedback using the email below.DOE-CATALOG Teams are comprised of members from:Los Alamos National LaboratoryLawrence Berkeley National LaboratoryLawrence Livermore National LaboratoryNational Energy Technology LaboratorySandia National LaboratoriesData displayed is being actively curated and currently includes spatial aggregations of well data, a preliminary layer of identified orphaned developed by the National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL), and field work extents across the U.S. developed by other DOE national laboratories. Generally, orphaned wells are defined as an idle wells for which the operator is unknown or insolvent.Spatial aggregations are derivatives of oil and gas well data source from Enverus, last acquired December 2023. These include spatial density histograms per area (e.g., state, county) by well status, spud decade, and plug decade. In addition, marginal well density was developed using a subset of these wells, queried by R. Hastings and E. Lopert, NETL Site Support Contractors.The identified orphaned wells layer is a preliminary subset of the CO2-Locate national well dataset based on if \u201corphan\u201d is noted in either the dataset name or within the well status, type, or operator attribute. Of the more than 50 federal, state, and tribal resources (~11 million well records), 16 resources contained a total of ~170k orphaned well records.Fieldwork extents provide footprints of areas across the U.S. where drone surveys, ground truthing, and imagery analyses are being conducted to identify undocumented or orphaned wells and mitigate methane emissions.", "units": "esriDecimalDegrees", "maxViewsCount": 20, "syncEnabled": false, "tables": [], "hasVersionedData": false, "hasViews": false, "layers": [ { "name": "Orphaned_Wells_v2", "id": 113, "geometryType": "esriGeometryPoint", "serviceItemId": "624d50874c4043d1b54af35c3b71c19c" } ], "spatialReference": { "latestWkid": 4326, "wkid": 4326 }, "fullExtent": { "ymin": 25.856565682000053, "xmin": -151.80176637299996, "ymax": 70.50804437400006, "xmax": -73.45669143999999, "spatialReference": { "latestWkid": 4326, "wkid": 4326 } }, "enableZDefaults": true, "allowUpdateWithoutMValues": true, "isLocationTrackingService": false, "supportedExportFormats": "sqlite,filegdb", "capabilities": "Query,Extract", "supportsAppend": true, "supportsDisconnectedEditing": false, "supportedAppendFormats": "shapefile,featureCollection", "supportsReturnDeleteResults": true, "currentVersion": 10.91, "advancedEditingCapabilities": {"supportsAsyncApplyEdits": false}, "supportedQueryFormats": "JSON", "initialExtent": { "ymin": 19.23595158148452, "xmin": -125.6489517672019, "ymax": 39.538160996697364, "xmax": -74.78768755513222, "spatialReference": { "latestWkid": 4326, "wkid": 4326 } }, "serviceDescription": "", "editorTrackingInfo": { "allowOthersToUpdate": true, "enableEditorTracking": false, "allowOthersToDelete": false, "allowOthersToQuery": true, "enableOwnershipAccessControl": false }, "hasSyncEnabledViews": false, "copyrightText": "National Energy Technology Laboratory Geoscience, Artificial Intelligence, and Analysis Team and Department of Energy\u2019s Consortium Advancing Technology for Assessment of Lost Oil & Gas Wells Team, CATALOG Insights Overview Application, 2024, in development", "zDefault": 0, "serviceItemId": "624d50874c4043d1b54af35c3b71c19c" }
