These include spatial density histograms per area (e.g., state, county) by well status, spud decade, and plug decade. In addition, marginal well density was developed using a subset of these wells, queried by R. Hastings and E. Of the more than 50 federal, state, and tribal resources (~11 million well records), 16 resources contained a total of ~170k orphaned well records.</font></span></p><p style='margin-bottom:0in; background-image:initial; background-position:initial; background-size:initial; background-repeat:initial; background-attachment:initial; background-origin:initial; background-clip:initial;'><span style='font-family:&quot;Segoe UI&quot;, sans-serif; color:rgb(36, 36, 36);'><font size='3'>Fieldwork extents provide footprints of areas across the U.S. where drone surveys, ground truthing, and imagery analyses are being conducted to identify undocumented or orphaned wells and mitigate methane emissions.</font></span></p>
